Maria Lindsay

Maria Lindsay, also credited as Maria Schattovits, is an Australian violinist who has performed as a musician on numerous Wiggles albums. She is the sister of trumpeter Dominic Lindsay, celloist Margaret Lindsay, and violist Angela Lindsay, all of whom have also collaborated and performed with The Wiggles, and appeared with Dominic and Margaret during the song "A Scottish Christmas" from the Yule Be Wiggling video.

Lindsay has performed with various music ensembles such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and is currently a member of the Australian World Orchestra. Since 2018, she has served as the concertmaster of the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared as a guest concertmaster for various other ensembles such as Canberra Symphony and North Sydney Symphony.

Outside of performing as a musician, Lindsay also works as a teacher at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the University of New South Wales. In 2009, she formed the Lurline Chamber Orchestra with her sister Angela and serves as the group's co-artistic director and orchestra leader, and has also served as the artistic director for both the Blue Mountain Chamber Music Festival concerts and the Lurline Recital concert series, which she established in 2004 and 2012 respectively.
