Mic Conway

Michael Francis Conway (born 15 February 1951) is an Australian entertainer, vocalist, and musician who has collaborated with The Wiggles, primarily as the speaking and singing voice of Wags the Dog and as an occasional songwriter and musician on some of the group's albums.

Conway is best known as a founding member and the lead vocalist of jug band The Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band and as a founding member of Circus Oz, a contemporary satirical circus group, also working with his brother Jim in both groups. Conway currently performs as the leader of jug band/comedic circus act Mic Conway's National Junk Band.

Collaborations with The Wiggles[]

Conway first worked with the group when he played the minor roles of Jimbo the Juggler and the Postman in The Wiggles Movie, and soon started voicing Wags the Dog on most occasions where the character was shown to speak full dialogue. Conway's first performance as the voice of Wags was in the group's second television series, and he last voiced the character in the 2011 video Big Birthday.

Besides voicing Wags, Conway's other major appearance with the Wiggles was as a guest star on Let's Eat!, being featured on the songs "Alabama Jubilee" and "That's What You Call Digestion" (the latter of which he co-wrote). Conway also performed live with the group during the 2011 Greatest Hits In The Round live tour (footage of which could be seen in the Big Birthday video)
